NEW YORK – October 7, 2015 – Datadog, the leading SaaS-based monitoring platform for cloud applications, today announced its expansion of operations with the opening of a French subsidiary office in Paris, France. Located in the city’s tech-centric “Silicon Sentier” neighborhood, Datadog’s new R&D innovation lab will focus on research and new product development.
“Paris is home to a number of prestigious universities and engineering schools, which generate top-notch math, sciences and software engineering talent. I am myself a product of this educational system,” said Olivier Pomel, CEO and co-founder of Datadog. ”The goal of our Paris R&D Lab is to attract highly skilled researchers and engineers who want to be part of a high-growth global startup with deep technical challenges and an entrepreneurial culture.”
Paris is a leading hub of software development with a burgeoning startup community, and a natural next step for Datadog’s continued global expansion. Datadog, with more than 1500 enterprise customers, has been staffing up its engineering, sales and marketing divisions all year, including the July 2015 opening of its new 12,000-square-foot downtown Boston location. The company’s New York City headquarters currently has more than 100 employees in Manhattan.
Datadog co-founders, CEO Olivier Pomel and CTO Alexis Lê-Quôc, each hold MS, CS degrees from École Centrale Paris.
“Paris is a major presence on the engineering talent map, with one of the most ambitious and competitive technology industry projects to come out of Europe,” added Lê-Quôc. “There was never any question that Datadog would ultimately have a presence here.”
Datadog is actively recruiting for engineering positions in the Paris metropolitan area. Open positions can be found at https://careers.datadoghq.com/.
